Privacy Policy

Second Opinion ("we", "us") is a service that produces structured counter-arguments to help you stress-test major life decisions. This policy describes what we collect, why, and what we do — and don't do — with it.

• Account information. Your email address when you sign up or log in.
• Decision content. The descriptions, motivations, timelines, and notes you submit when generating an opinion.
• Opinions generated. The structured critiques we produce for you, stored so you can revisit them in your library.
• Usage data. Basic technical data — pages visited, errors, device type — used to keep the service reliable.
• Billing data. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

We use a third-party authentication provider to manage your account. Your password is hashed at rest — we never see the plaintext. Sessions are protected by industry-standard tokens, and authentication traffic is encrypted in transit.

Your decisions and the opinions generated for them are stored in our database, linked to your user account. They are protected by row-level security: only your authenticated session can read your own entries. You can delete any opinion from your library at any time, which removes it from our active database.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or the contents of your decisions to third parties. We do not use your decision content to train public models. Limited data is shared only with the service providers required to run the product — hosting, authentication, AI inference, and payments — under their own confidentiality terms.

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or full deletion of your account and history at any time by contacting us.
