Terms & Conditions

1. Informational use only — not professional advice
Second Opinion produces structured counter-arguments intended to help you think more carefully about major decisions. The output is for informational and reflective purposes only. It is not, and must not be relied upon as, legal, financial, medical, psychological, or any other form of professional advice. For decisions with material consequences, consult a qualified professional.
2. User accounts
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Credits and payments
Paid plans grant a fixed number of credits per billing cycle. Each opinion you generate consumes one credit. Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle and do not roll over unless explicitly stated. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your profile. Payments are processed by Stripe.
4. Refund policy
Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period has begun, except where required by law. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period. If you experience a billing error or were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review the case in good faith.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
- Submit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains another person's private data without consent.
- Resell, sublicense, or present the output as professional advice from a licensed expert.
6. Intellectual property
The service, its design, and the structure of its output are owned by us. You retain ownership of the inputs you submit. You may use the opinions generated for you for personal and internal decision-making.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Opinion is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity arising from decisions made with or without reference to the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
